We are excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated individual to join our team in the role of Accounting Assistant. Reporting directly to the Hotel Accountant, this position plays a pivotal role in our daily operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for compiling daily sales figures, processing invoices for payment three days a week, and undertaking the crucial task of reconciling the night audit.

This role may suit an experienced senior front office professional ( min 2 years) with an extensive knowledge of Hotsoft operating system.

Key Responsibilities:

• Compile and maintain daily sales figures.
• Manage both Debtors and Creditors ledgers.
• Assist in preparing the Audit Pack and provide necessary ad hoc reporting.
• Maintain the Gift Voucher Control Account.
• Conduct day-to-day banking activities as required.
• Provide support to the accountant on various ad hoc projects.
• Fulfill general administration duties alongside other ongoing assigned tasks.

The ideal candidate possesses:

• Excellent computer IT skills,
• Impeccable organizational abilities,
• Keen attention to detail,
• Strong communication skills,
• Self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
• Prior experience in a busy accounts department is essential,
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written
• Extensive knowledge of Hotsoft

Desired:

• A minimum certification as an Accounting Technician (IATI) or actively pursuing the same.

Our preferred systems include SAGE, Micropay for payroll management, Autoentry for efficient invoice entry, and  Procurewizard for Purchase Control and Hotsoft for hotel PMS.
